When should I schedule my used car pre-purchase inspection?

VERY IMPORTANT PLEASE READ!
Before you schedule your used car pre-purchase inspection you should have answered these questions:

  • Who will perform my pre-purchase inspection?  Choose an inspection service provider. 
  • What is the primary use of the vehicle? - School, work vehicle, grocery getter or other.
  • Where will I have the used car inspection performed? – Get location, VIN#, other, info.
  • When do I want to have the used car pre-purchase inspection performed?
  • How am I financing this vehicle?  Cash, Good Credit, Buy Here Pay Here lot.  Be prepared to take immediate possession of any vehicle after an used auto inspection to avoid any problems!
  • Why do I need a used car pre-purchase inspection?  Do you really need to ask?                                                                
  • Research the used car and (if possible) test-drive the vehicle - Be sure this is the vehicle  you really want to buy, should it pass an unbiased used car pre-purchase inspection.
  • Inform the Seller - Let seller know you plan on having a “pre-purchase inspection” before buying.
  • Now you can call and schedule a used auto pre-purchase inspection.
